Our staff often tell us that one of the most valued benefits of working for West Sussex County CouncilĀ is our approach to a work / life balance. We recognise that a healthy balance between work and the rest of our lives is important for all of us.
Our standard working week is 37 hours, but we operate a flexible working scheme in most parts of the Council where you can vary the time you start and finish work within certain parameters to help with your social and domestic reponsibilities. Using 'flexitime', staff can also bank hours which can then be tkaen as time off at a later date.
